During a recent business trip, I dined at Pousada Itarema Residence, hoping to delight in the culinary offerings of this unique locale. To my disappointment, the restaurant was nearly empty, and the service was slow-waiting over a hour for both starters and the grilled fish filet. While the fish was adequately prepared with white rice, I found the price of nearly 100 BRL for two to be steep for this area. Despite this, the Pousada does offer amenities that could make for a pleasant stay. Each air-conditioned room is equipped with a flat-screen TV and features a balcony for enjoying views of the lush gardens. For those traveling with family, the children's playground is an added bonus. While the dinner experience left something to be desired, the atmosphere of the Pousada combined with its proximity to the area's natural beauty, such as Praia da Taíba, makes it a potential getaway spot worth considering for future visits.
